Job Title
Senior Oracle Apps DBA / Oracle Applications Database Administrator -FTE
Experience
8-15 years of overall IT experience with a minimum of:

  • 8+ years as an Oracle Database Administrator supporting mission-critical production environments.
  • 9+ years as an Oracle Applications DBA supporting Oracle E-Business Suite R12.1.3 and R12.2.x.
  • Experience supporting global customers in a Managed Services environment.
  • Experience working in 24x7 production support and rotational/on-call support models.
Key Responsibilities
Oracle EBS Administration
  • Administer, maintain, and support Oracle E-Business Suite R12.1.3 and R12.2 environments.
  • Perform EBS cloning, patching, upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Manage ADOP Online Patching lifecycle activities in Oracle EBS R12.2.
  • Apply Oracle CPUs, PSUs, RUs, CSPUs, One-Off patches, and application module-specific patches.
  • Perform EBS environment refreshes and clone activities across DEV, TEST, UAT, and PROD environments.
  • Support Oracle Forms, Reports, Concurrent Processing, Workflow, OAF, WebLogic, OHS, and EBS integrations.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot EBS application and database performance issues.
Oracle Database Administration
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle Databases (11g, 12c, 19c, and 23ai/26ai).
  • Manage Backup and Recovery using RMAN.
  • Perform database patching, migration, upgrades, and performance tuning.
  • Monitor database health, availability, capacity, and security.
  • Troubleshoot database performance bottlenecks using AWR, ASH, ADDM, Statspack, and OEM.
Production Support & Managed Services
  • Provide 24x7 support for production environments.
  • Participate in incident management, problem management, and root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Ensure compliance with SLA, KPI, and operational excellence standards.
  • Support planned maintenance, DR drills, failover testing, and business continuity initiatives.
  • Collaborate with customers, internal technical teams, Oracle Support, and cloud teams.
Automation & Process Improvement
  • Automate routine DBA and EBS administration tasks using Shell, Python, Ansible, or PowerShell.
  • Contribute to operational improvements, monitoring enhancements, and standardization initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.

Preferred Skills:
 
  • Experience with Engineered Systems /ODA’s/OCI ExaCS 
  • Oracle Data Guard
  • Oracle RAC/Multitenant architecture ,WebLogic .OEM 13c/12c
  • R12.2 Upgrade Experience on multiple projects
  • Experienced with Oracle Identity Management product suite
  • Immediate Joiners preferred
